"AGT's Aerodynamic Effort to Receive Air Force Support Through Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program"
June, 2003.
Atmospheric Glow Technologies' proposal for controlling aerodynamic surface flow with non-thermal plasma has been selected by the Air Force's Air Vehicles Directorate as a funded project for 2003. The contract, slated to begin August 15, calls for AGT to develop atmospheric plasma as a means of enhancing the flight characteristics of aircraft, leading to fuel savings, reduced drag, increased aircraft attack angles, and the prevention of flow separation. The Air Force SBIR Program is a mission-oriented program that integrates the needs and requirements of the Air Force through R&D topics with military and commercial potential.
